What was different between G Dragon’s and Taeyang’s producing on WIN?

TAEYANG was warmhearted, while G-DRAGON was meticulous.

The two Teams A (Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Hoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, Nam Tae Hyun) and B (B.I., Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Kim Dong Hyuk, Koo Jun Hoe, Song Yoon Hyung) were trained and mentored by TAEYANG and G-DRAGON respectively on ‘WHO IS NEXT: WIN’, YG’s real survival program aired on Sept 27 through Mnet.

The two charismatic members of BIGBANG, who stand at the top position in the South Korean music world, led the contestants of ‘WIN’ by being in charge of performance production. The two carried out their tasks with much enthusiasm and passion.

But there were differences between the two talented artists. TAEYANG continuously provided words of encouragement by telling them not to be fearful of losing. G-DRAGON, on the other hand, told the members “to feel relaxed and confident” while taking care of each member’s fashion and performance.

TAEYANG firmly told them, “I hope you don’t feel the pressure or fear of losing the battle. You have to constantly go after your dreams and that’s how you appreciate it.” Through such comments, he showed the members that performing is not all about the result.

G-DRAGON paid attention to every little details until the moment the members were on stage. Apart from taking care of their appearances, he worked on unifying the performance and the props used on stage.

And after the much-anticipated battle was completed, Team B seized victory.

‘WIN’ is a program that divides YG’s 11 trainees into Teams A and B for a fierce battle. There will be 3 battles in total throughout the 10 episodes. The winning team makes a debut to become the first boy group of YG in 8 years under the group name WINNER.
